‘Game Night’ (2018)
One of the best comedies of the 2010s is finally getting its flowers now that it’s on Netflix. Married couple Max (Jason Bateman) and Annie (Rachel McAdams) host a weekly game night with their friends that can get pretty competitive, but that rivalry gets dialed up to 11 when Max’s egotistical older brother Brook (Kyle Chandler) offers to host and plans an elaborate murder mystery for them to solve.
But when Brooks actually disappears, the group realizes the night’s game has taken a dangerous turn. As Max, Annie, and their friends scramble to figure out what’s going on, each clue brings new surprises that raise the stakes. I will say, this dark comedy takes some wild turns, but Bateman and McAdams’ effortless charm brings plenty of laughs that make this a joy to watch.

‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ (2025)
Surprising no one, Netflix’s biggest streaming hit of all time, “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” is still going strong in the top 10 (though “Frankenstein” managed to kick it down to the #2 spot). And yes, I am still shouting from the rooftops about how good this movie is. I’m not a big K-pop fan myself, but you don’t have to be to have a blast with this bubblegum pop animated adventure from the animation studio behind the “Spider-Verse” movies.
It follows Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo) — a hit K-pop trio who keep the world safe from supernatural evils with their music. However, their biggest challenge yet comes when a group of demons disguised as a rival boy band start climbing the charts. With the fate of everything they’ve worked for on the line, the trio will need to tackle their own inner demons first to have any chance of saving the day.
